Coordination of Care At Care , our client service associates will coordinate the injured workers' examination within 48 hours and provide you with the medical report within 24 hours of receipt. Channeling injured employees to network providers is based on protocols established by related to the physical and medical condition of the claimant. Immediately after receiving the request for examination, Care service representatives will call the claimant and ask pertinent questions about their medical condition. Once we have determined the medical and physical condition of the claimant, we will schedule the procedure at the appropriate center that is closest to the claimant's home or job. In the event the claimant needs transportation or translation services, Care will arrange for these at no extra charge. Our system assures that the claimant is scheduled in the center that has the most appropriate equipment to accommodate any special needs. After the appointment is set, we will call the claimant again to confirm. At this point, we will contact the claims adjuster, case manager and physician, via faxed confirmation form, to inform that the appointment has been scheduled. Finally, Care will send the report to the claims adjuster and case manager within 48 hours of the completed procedure. |
